Iverson: my first puppy loveupdated 8 December 2004 | ||
if you have ever been loved by a puppy you will understand why i cannot get rid of this page * if you've explored this site you'll have noticed i make shrines to the precious beings & ideas in my life * i have a shrine in my house for each animal that i've lived with since i left home, living & dead * Bob, the girl cat, Russian Blue foundling who went on walks with me like a dog (she's dead) * Kira, another Russian Blue girl, who lives up north next to her own duck pond (& since i will prolly never hear of her fate i will be most pleased to imagine her living up there for as long as a cat can live) * Mirabai, my last cat, the very definition of unconditional love, whose death just before her first birthday just about broke my heart from cats forever (it's cars i'd rather give up) * i took a long break & then Iverson changed me for good * i fell in love with him, started feeding birds -- i think the lovely Mirabai was the last * |
playing with Tula at Pioneer Park learning to share (he learned some bad tricks from Liz too)

i spent the best part of 2 years with Iverson, the golden-haired love pictured here * this sweet loyal pup taught me about always having somebody to go walking with, somebody to get me out to the forest or the beach or at least the neighborhood every single day * now that's love * it took me some tears to get over losing him (but he's still alive & i'm sure happy as can be), but ya do what ya gotta do & then the universe provides * |
